Class of 1961 Begins Planning for 50th Reunion Print E-mail

Marsha Schwartz Landau, class of June 1961 (co-editor of the 1961 Navillus) reports:

I am on the new committee which is starting, admittedly quite early, to plan our 50th reunion in 2011.  I have established an alumni group page for our class on facebook.com.  In 3 days we've had 25 classmates join the group.  Here's the link:

I am open to any suggestions you might have for promoting our group while we are still working on a date and location for our reunion party.  We have one of our committee members, Judith Rock, working with the school so we can have an event at the school during our reunion weekend.

Your new Chicago area reunion planning committee members: Linda Chapman Baer, Barbara Cherney Mackevich, Shelley Lang Berger, Paulette Goldstein Rubin,Ted Levine, Gene Litwin, Judith Loberg Rock, Alissa Mandel Berman, Neal Samors, and Marsha Schwartz Landau. Our "satellite" members are Truda Neider Chick in Arizona and David Beck and Janet Schwade Sichelman in Florida.

 
White Sox Show Support Once Again Print E-mail
Once again the White Sox have been very generous contributing $25,000.00 to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Bud Greene and Margaret Davis (MCSF President) were on the field accepting the check from White Sox Charities.
 
Attention Class of 1952 Print E-mail

What we are today had a beginning. Our real beginning was when we first became young adults in high school. We all were in our formative stages seeking direction from parents (who were not as smart as we but still came up with sound advice that we realized in due time), and of coarse our buddies and buddettes. Our opinions of teachers, friends and life in general was usually a consensus of, “Our Group.” We were all the leaders of our group of friends except when we were the followers. We had our clicks, various school organizations and secret societies (mostly a girl thing).
